about
Founded on a career spent preparing governments and global institutions for the threats that define this era.
John Cosgrove-Founder
John Cosgrove brings more than 25 years of global experience advising Fortune 50 corporations, the financial sector, critical infrastructure operators, regulators, and national security and public safety organizations on preparing for — and responding to — the threats that matter most.
Mr. Cosgrove began his career supporting the U.S. Department of Justice's Domestic Preparedness Program, designing and delivering weapons of mass destruction exercises for U.S. first responders. His practice expanded to natural hazard and pandemic preparedness for local, state, and federal emergency management agencies, and then to physical and cyber critical infrastructure exercises for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
In 2014 he joined Citigroup, where he rose to serve as Global Head of Cyber Exercises, testing the resilience of one of the world's largest financial institutions against the full spectrum of converged threats. From 2022 to 2024, he served as Co-Chair of the Exercise Committee of the joint U.S. Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council and Financial and Banking Information Infrastructure Committee — the public-private partnership at the center of the financial sector's collective defense.
